Ted Nugent Joins Rusty to Talk Hunting, Music, and Politics
Ted Nugent is a strong and vocal supporter of various conservative causes, particularly gun rights and hunter's rights. Uncle Ted joins Rusty to talk politics, music and hunting.
ON GUITARS: Nugent tells Rusty the secret to his sound is "illegally imported Indian fretboads. That's one thing I demand from Gibson is that if they are going to make me a guitar they will use illegally imported wood so that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife has a conniption fit everytime I play."
ON THE NUGENT COMPOUND: "I got guns and guitars, woodchipers and frontloaders, and giant pickup trucks that get 600 yards to the gallon. I got all the important fun things in life - I got Rusty Humphries beef jerky and cigars hangin around and in every corner of my house is a guitar and amplifier..."
ON GUNS: "We take our shooting very seriously... I shoot everyday... you can actually do the breast stroke in brass in my driveway"
